RICK THE CUBE'S ODYSSEY BY SATI
Rick the Cube was born to a chicken!
Can you imagine the shock? Quickly thrown out of the coop, Rick goes in search of adventures in a fascinating universe. He will discover the world, or rather a world, imagined and put into music by SATI.
Mixing different animation techniques, the pair leads us into their imaginary and colourful lands. Bird flights, forests, waterways to cross… no one knows what really awaits Rick the Cube in this initiatory journey. We follow in his steps, cradled by the music, at times chilling, joyful or intoxicating.
A silent animation film with a powerful soul and a fabulous road movie that will enchant both young and old.
Saturday 5 December 18:00
Tariffs: 8 Euros / 6.5 Euros / 5 Euros (children under 16)

ERIC QUEMENER

Graduate of the school of fine arts of Brest, Eric Quemener developed a unique style close to art brut and to free figuration through original creations often composed of recycled material. Politicised and engaged in the movement "prolét’art", Eric Quemener is the founder of the association “Accroche-toi au pinceau” (hold on to the brush) turned towards the diffusion of plastic arts among the disabled and youth with problems. He’s also the author of an illustration book for kids and their parents (Légumes des jours or Vegetables of the days). The "Serial Couleur" exhibits his creations all over France; he finds inspiration in everyday life scenes. His thirst for expression leads him to work with many renowned cultural events: Vieilles Charrues, Nancy Jazz Pulsations and yet another time with the Trans Musicales of Rennes.

SOCIAL LANDSCAPE RENNES MUSIC
DECEMBER 2009

Social Landscape, a series of creative projects and collaborative events between Rennes and Glasgow, is the fruit of Patricia Fleming's imagination, a curator based in Glasgow. It initiates a new cycle of collaboration between European cultural actors and the centre for Contemporary Art, La Criée in Rennes. Rennes Music is the first public event: a silent discotheque that explores the relationship
between visual arts and music. To choose the music, a research was conducted by 12 students of Rennes’ regional school of Fine Arts. They questioned 20 internationally renowned artists concerning the music played in their workshops. Rennes Music will be held on the occasion of the Trans Musicales, in honour of all the fans of music and 30 years of the festival.
Dates, Times and Locations to be confirmed
